WHO ARE THE COUGARS?
The Culver City Cougars are an amateur Gaelic Football and social club based in Los Angeles, CA. We are funded primarily through membership dues and partner sponsorships. We practice twice a week and have two to three games per month against other teams in the SoCal area and beyond.
WTF IS GAELIC FOOTBALL?
If soccer, basketball and rugby had a drunken threesome, the resulting accident-child would be Gaelic Football. It's a high-impact, technical sport born and raised in Ireland and spreading across the United States. There are clubs in almost every major metropolitan city, one of which hosts the North American Finals every August. Including the Cougars, there are 11 teams in California alone. But enough about what we have to say. Watch the video below and experience Gaelic Football for yourself.
Culver City High School
Our weeknight technical training sessions take place at the Culver City High School stadium located at 4650 Harter Ave Wednesdays starting at 7:30 pm. The intent of these sessions is to focus on technique, game-like scenarios and new player education. We welcome players at all levels to attend. Street parking is available on Harter Ave.
Santa Monica Tower 25
Every Saturday the Cougars don't have a game we conduct a fitness focused training session on the beach in Santa Monica near Tower 25. These are high intensity strength and agility sessions with some light possession play at the end. We welcome players at all levels to attend. Short term parking is available at the Tower 26 Short Term Parking Lot. We meet at the picnic tables by Dorothy Green Park.
