WHO ARE THE COUGARS?
The Cougars GFC are a Gaelic Football and social club based in Los Angeles, CA. At over 50 active members, we are the largest and only GAA club located in the Greater LA region. Our club is managed by a volunteer and elected officers and is funded through membership dues and sponsorships. We train twice a week and have two to three games per month against other teams in the Southern California area and beyond. Our season runs from March to September every year!
WTF IS GAELIC FOOTBALL?
If soccer, basketball, handball and rugby had a drunken threesome, the resulting accident-child would be Gaelic Football. It's a high-fitness, technical sport born and raised in Ireland that is rapidly spreading across the United States. There are clubs in almost every major city in the US, one of which hosts the North American Finals every September. Including the Cougars, there are 11 teams in California alone with the Cougars being the only club location in Los Angeles.
